The 13th Street Morgue will be OPEN March 22nd for ONE night! Terror and surf music!
Why you ask? Well, coz we love ya so dang much! And because all the proceeds from the night go to a good cause, the Epilepsy Foundation. A Morgue staff member lost her son almost two years ago to a complication with epilepsy and he was a kid most of us knew. Each yeah the foundation has a stroll at the Dallas Zoo as a fundraiser. People sponsor you to walk and the money you raise is donated by your team. Our team is Team Lucas names after Lucas Dean Robinson. Last years event was a great success and we had a blast doing it. Our efforts wont be able to bring Lucas back but we CAN help other people move forward with this disease. So this year when it was time for stroll again we decided to increase our efforts a bit and just see what kind of money we can raise. So we decided to open the 13th Street Morgue from 8-10PM on March 22nd and then The Ghost Surfers are going to perform in the theatre from 10-11. The cost for all of this is 15 dollars, that's admission to the haunted house, the surf band and pizza! You cannot get a better deal than that anywhere. Staff members from the foundation will be on hand to answer any questions you may have or if you feel you can help them in the future as well. But just so you have an idea where your money is going and a few facts about Epilepsy you may not know , read below...

EPILEPSY FOUNDATION MISSION
The Epilepsy Foundation will ensure that people with seizures are able to
participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy
through services, education, advocacy and research.
Epilepsy is the third most common neurological disorder in the United States
after Alzheimer's disease
and stroke. 2.5 million Americans have epilepsy. It is equal in prevalence
to cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease combined. This
year another 200,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed with
epilepsy. Of the major chronic medical conditions, epilepsy is among the least
understood, even though one in three adults knows someone with the disorder.
The Epilepsy Foundation continues to move forward by reaching out to thousands
of children and adults with epilepsy in north and southeast Texas. Epilepsy
Foundation staff and volunteers work together to provide vital programs and
services to people with epilepsy that help offset the emotional impact of the
disorder.
